Editorial Policy and Quality Standards
This page defines how Snow Day Predictor publishes content and maintains quality. Our goal is to provide a useful planning tool without overstating certainty.
1. Scope and Intent
We publish weather-based probability estimates and region guides. We do not publish official closure announcements and we do not represent any school district or government agency.
2. Accuracy Standards
- Use primary data sources for weather and official district links.
- Avoid guaranteed outcomes or unsupported performance claims.
- Label predictions clearly as estimates.
- Link to official channels for final decision checks.
3. Content Quality Rules
- No auto-generated placeholder pages presented as complete coverage.
- No doorway pages made only for keyword targeting.
- Every published page must provide direct user utility.
- Internal links should point to live pages only.
4. Updates and Corrections
We update methodology and source links when the implementation changes or when official URLs move. If you report an error, we review and fix it as quickly as possible.
5. Advertising Transparency
This site may display ads. Advertising does not change our scoring logic or the list of official sources. Editorial decisions are based on user utility and clarity.
